Offlimits Camps presents New York City’s Peridance Center dance training program.
The one week intensive program features master teachers from Peridance’s New York City faculty.
Dancers will train in a variety of styles with emphasis placed on both technique and artistry.
The daily schedule will include 3-4 classes in a wide variety of dance styles- Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, and more.
This is your summer dance extravaganza, a time to train, connect, and build with Peridance’s network of teachers from around the globe.
No audition necessary, dancers must be between ages 11-25 years.
*Our coaches could change due to their professional commitments with their national teams and clubs.
Igal Perry
Ballet
Is a world renowned choreographer and dance educator, founder and artistic director of Peridance Contemporany Dance Company, in collaboration with an experienced and knowledgeable faculty.
His works have been set on prestigious companies and performed at renowned festivals including Florence Dance Festival and Invito Alla Danza (Italy), Batsheva and Bat-Dor Dance Companies and the Karmiel Dance Festival (Israel), Ailey II and Complexions Contemporary Ballet (NYC), Companhia de Danca de Lisboa (Portugal), and Alberta Ballet (Canada).
Nicholas Palmquist
Jazz
Nicholas Palmquist is a Germany based, freelance mover and move maker. He has danced commercially in America for Netflix/TV/Film, danced with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, and was a founding member with American Dance Machine for the 21st Century at the Joyce Theatre. He has choreographed for fashion events like Vogue’s CFDA, NYFW and campaigns with Nordstrom and Zalando. The intersection of these different dance experiences lead him to a faculty position at Steps on Broadway for a number of years where he codified a unique relationship with musicality and stillness in dance. Nicholas has additionally taught masterclasses at Peridance Center, Broadway Dance Center, all around the United States, in Russia, Japan, Paraguay, Brazil, Shanghai, Mexico, and now in Germany where he will be premiering a work with the Semperoper Ballet.
Tweetboogie
Hip Hop
Always representing The South Bronx, TweetBoogie is devoted to the street styles of hip-hop. As she continues to travel all over the world teaching in different countries such as Japan, Poland, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Korea, Russia, Prague,The Philippines, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Australia and South Africa to name a few. Her passion has led her to work with top artists like Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Mary J Blige, Shakira, Kanye West & Nicki Minaj and the iconic Miss Janet Jackson in her amazing “Made For Now” video. Most recently, Tweetie choreographed for 50 Cent at Madison Square Garden for the POWER Premier of Season 6 of STARZ.
Tweet and her business partner Michele Byrd McPhee, newly launched their new production team called “TooBirdsProductions”. They were hired to choreograph the opening number for WE DAY. An educational program for children sponsored by the United Nations. The multi-talented was also the host of MTV’s “Dances From Tha Hood” On Demand executive produced by Sway Calloway. Some of her biggest clients were teaching Gail and Oprah a few of the latest hip-hop moves as a guest choreographer on The OPRAH Show. As the brand Ambassador of Ladies of Hip Hop Festival, TweetBoogie helps bring Ladies of all ages and sizes across the world to come together and celebrate street dance culture through music & dance one lady at a time.
Recently she was a guest teacher at the Juste Debout School located in Paris as well as the Hip Hop judge for their Juste Debout World Tour 2019. One of the biggest international underground dance battles that travels worldwide.
Gregory Dolbashian
Contemporary, Improvisation
Born and raised in New York City Gregory received his dance training at the Alvin Ailey School, then graduated cum laude from SUNY Purchase dance conservatory. He debuted his own company, The DASH Ensemble, in December 2010 at The JOYCE SoHo. DASH Ensemble performance credits include The JOYCE Theater, Baryshnikov Arts Center, NYLA, Guggenheim Works and Process Series, Kaatsbaan and Jacob’s Pillow as well as domestic touring all over the U.S. including venues located in Dallas, L.A., and North Carolina.
Commission credits include festivals, companies and artists such as American Dance Festival, Northwest Dance Project, Ballet Austin Cirio Collective, Daniil Smikin’s INTENSIO, Atlanta Ballet, Central Park Summer Stage, and Hubbard Street 2 among many others. He in tandem with Director of Education Lindsey Pettus is also the co-founder of The DASH Academy, a dance and education program for developing artists ages 10-18. His collegiate and training program commissions include Juilliard, Point Park, LINES Ballet, NYU Tisch, Princeton University, Troy University, MOVENYC, and SUNY Purchase among others. Faculty positions have included Broadway Dance Center, Gibney Dance Center, The Martha Graham School, The Joffrey School, Limon 2, and Peridance Capezio Center. He has conducted multiple masterclasses around the country including Ballet Hispanico, Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance, UNCSA, UC Irvine, Mid-Pacific Institute, SUNY Purchase, The Hartt School, and Booker T Washington HSPVA. In addition, Gregory, alongside fellow choreographer Loni Landon, is the co-founder of The PlaygroundNYC, a choreographic initiative that was voted 25 to Watch in 2013 by Dance Magazine.
Élodie Auger
Ballet
After graduating from the Paris Opera school, and Rudra Béjart in Lausanne, Elodie starts her career in the Béjart Ballet Lausanne by being involved in two important masterpieces: “The Rite of Spring and the Bolero”. She will also participate in the Opera of Stravinsky “The Rake’s Progress” with the Lausanne Opera.
Then she will tour with the France Jeune Ballet de France, with pieces from Kirsten Debrock.
On the other hand, Elodie is a certified Ballet teacher and instructor, who travels around the world to promote <the french technique> . She has trained dancers who are now part of the biggest dance companies in the world( San Francisco Ballet, Angelin Preljokaj, Oper Halle, Theater Gorlitz-Zittau, Hofesh Schecter, Grands Ballets de Genève).
She is a health therapist, and a specialist of Wilfried Piollet’s technique.
She joins Cie Julie Magneville, as a soloist and assistant choreographer 9 years ago. They will create in the parallel of the company a professional training where dancers could experience everything.
She was invited, during two tours in China to promote the “French Ballet Dance”. She gave Master Classes, Conferences and performed on stage in many cities and Universities.
She participated in the Belgian TV show <So We Dance> as a coach and in many films as a dancer for French and Indian productions.
Today co-creator of the concept “Smart Bodies” and trained in Ayurveda, Elodie joyfully combines her life as an Artist Interpreter for the alternative singer Sevdaliza all around the world, Body Therapist and coach.
